one.

The baby boy is one. How is that possible? It was only yesterday Cassidy was smooshing him at the hospital. Now she’s…………well, still smooshing him, just not at the hospital.

He is, of course, one of the most beautiful baby boys that ever lived and we love him to pieces. He has permanently inflated cheeks that bring out the pinching grandmother in all of us and other limbs all begging to be bitten. I realise this makes me sound rather Twilight-ish, but I don’t care. If you’ve never bitten a baby, you haven’t lived.

He does however, have one unforgiveable fault. He has decided that looking into my camera equals looking at a world that has run out of milk. I bring the thing anywhere near him and he cries. Actually, he scrinches up his face in the most appalling and horrified expression first, then he cries. And crawls away as fast as his beefy little thighs will carry him. This has gone on several times recently when I’ve tried to snap him unsuspectingly. Today he came over for a visit and I said enough was enough; this just wasn’t on.

After several failed attempts, tears from William and almost-tears from aunty Kate at my lack of talent in baby photography, we concocted a cunning plan. Not that cunning really – it centred around Emma since she was the only one able to distract him. We managed to score five minutes of shooting time with Em and Nanna putting on a show to rival Cirque de Soleil.

I give you Camera Shy William.

He looks sweet in the fourth photo but he’s actually attempting to grab the end of my lens and do some sort of baby body-slam with it into the ground.

No babies were harmed in the making of these photos. Just one photographer’s pride was :)

now you don’t see me . . . now you do.

I noticed this random strip of Cassidy from the booth recently (looking like nobody owns her one afternoon after school).

I said, “Hey Cass, why aren’t you in the first photo?”

She said, “That’s when I was getting the chair to stand on so you could see me”.

Who needs sunshine when you have your kids to brighten the day? :)

My two babies. If found, please return to their mother who took un unprecendented trip down memory lane whilst home alone one evening.

They’re so gorgeous, I ache.

perfection.

At home after school. The big one probably trying to close his eyes for a few minutes but getting trampled on by the medium and small sized ones. The labradoodle trying to be in full body contact with any takers.

They are all amazing, all mine and my picture of perfection. Even the one that appears she’s in the nicky noo nar in some of the photos but is actually wearing undies – her after school outfit of choice.

For those that have been wondering/asking…

No, I still don’t have commenting back on my blog. When I got super-spammed, Steve disabled it all to stop me logging in to find 3,547 spam comments to clear. There is apparently a way he can fix it to stop the spam but it’s a relatively long and involved job…and we are long and involved in other things at the moment. I’ll post to let you know when they’re turned back on xo
